Roots are underground parts of plants which we consume as food. They are loaded with fiber, antioxidants. Apart from being nutritious, vegetables like garlic, turmeric have medicinal properties.

Sweet Potatoes

Sweet potatoes are nutritious vegetables and loaded with health benefits. They are high in fiber, vitamin C, Vitamin A and manganese. They can be baked, sautéed, etc and can be enjoyed as an accompaniment. They are also known to improve the immune system, improve skin health, etc.

Turnips

Turnips have high immune boosting properties and are high in fiber, manganese and potassium. Consuming vegetables like turnips can reduce stomach, breast and lung cancer, etc. They can also be used in place of sweet potatoes. They can also cure respiratory infections like common cold.
