Ways To Grow Hibiscus Plant At Home

You can grow hibiscus plants in pot or garden soil at your home mainly in two ways.

1. Hibiscus plants can be grown directly from seeds, in this method hibiscus seeds are planted directly in the soil of a pot or grow bag.
2. Hibiscus plant can also be grown by cutting, in this method the appropriate cutting or cutting is taken from the hibiscus plant.

How to Grow Hibiscus Flower From Cutting

Step : 1  To grow a hibiscus plant from cuttings, we need some healthy branches and at least five or seven cuttings. You should keep the size of each pen only 5-6 inches, do not make a bigger pen than this. While cutting, keep one thing in mind cut all the cuttings a little diagonally, because of this, the roots in your cutting come out very well. After cutting the cutting, you have to peel the lower one-inch part lightly with a knife. Apart from this, keep in mind that the pen should not be too hard and delicate.

Step : 2  After this, you have to take some water in a glass and make a solution by adding rooting hormone powder inside it. This allows all your cuttings to take root very quickly. Keep the cutting in this solution for five minutes.

 

Step : 3  Now you have to prepare the soil for planting the pot cuttings. For soil, you have to take one part of normal soil, one part old cow dung, and one part cockpit, mix all these well and fill it in the pot. After this, you have to take your cutting out of the solution, again apply rooting hormone powder on the lower part of it and plant it in the pot.

 

Step : 4 Plant the cuttings at least three inches deep in the soil inside the pot. One thing you have to keep in mind is that there should not be any leaves on your cutting. After planting the cutting, add plenty of water to it. After this, you have to pay attention that your cutting should not move at all.

Step : 5  If you have planted this cutting in the summer season, then you have to put polythene over your pot. So that the moisture remains in your pot. Because during summer the moisture from the pot dries up very quickly. After applying the polythene to the top of the pot, you have to tie it to anything. After this, you have to leave your pot like this for a few days.

 

Step : 6  You have to water at the time when the soil on the top of the pot starts drying up. It may take about ten days for this soil to dry. When the leaves start to emerge from your cutting, you can make small holes in this polythene. So that air can go inside it. When it has completely grown all the leaves, then you have to remove it from the polythene pot. When the hibiscus cuttings are well rooted, then you can plant these cuttings separately in another pot.

Growing cuttings in Water

In this method, to develop roots in the hibiscus pen, dip the cutting in a container or jar containing water in such a way that the hibiscus cutting is submerged in about 3 inches of water, but the leaves are away from the water. Must stay Now place the cuttings in a pot or container in indirect sunlight, in about 3 to 4 weeks, roots will start emerging from the cutting. After the hibiscus pen develops roots, you can transplant it into a pot filled with soil or a grow bag.

How to care for the hibiscus plant
