The importance of planting trees – 5 June Environment day 2021

Plants Information requests all of you to Enhance the beauty of your landscape by planting a tree. Since our school life, we are thought that tries and plants provide us oxygen, wood and shelters, and much more. From Mango to banyan and Gulmohar, we’re surrounded by an enormous variety of different types of trees. All they together make a stunning view from our balcony and give us peace. A tree has many benefits:

Trees Purify Air

Trees are natural Air purifiers they clean Air. The leaves absorb odors and act as a filter and reduce harmful gases. Trees absorb harmful and polluted gases like sulfur dioxide, nitrogen, etc which are coming from industries and vehicles. A grown-up leafy tree produces as much oxygen in a season as ten people inhale in a year.

Facts: Only a Peepal tree gives out oxygen at night and it’s a 24×7 oxygen-providing machine and determines atmospheric CO2. There is no other tree that releases oxygen at night.

Trees save Water

As we know the process of evaporation, tress can also help us to save water. Trees offer shade and this slows down the process of evaporation. They release about 200-455 gallons of water and need 15 -16 water gallons a week for survival.



Best Friend of Farmers

Trees are one of the best friends of farmers as they increase soil fertility and help the soil to get moisture. The decomposers turn fallen old leaves and trees into natural fertilizers.

Soil Erosions

Trees not only save water but also reduce soil erosion and reduce the risk of floods. As the rainfall from heights, drops of rain have much power and energy to penetrate soil once they hit the ground. Roots with their strength to hold the soil together while Trees and leaves break the heavy droplets and so soil erosion is less impactful in forest and green areas.

Home for Wildlife

The wildlife depends on trees for food and shelter. Trees are homer for a variety of birds, bees, and animals, such as squirrels make homes. A Tree offers yummy snacks, such as fruits, cherries, walnuts, and chestnuts not only to wildlife but also for humans.

There are limitless environmental benefits of planting a tree. Let’s pledge to plant one tree one person on this environment day and protect our earth and contribute to the environment.
