Pitcher plant
This is a unique species of plant. There are about 120 species of them all over the world. These plants are not easily found, but if they are grown after taking care of them, then they continue to flourish immensely. These plants are called pitcher plants because of their pot size.
The botanical name of this plant is Nepenthes khasiana. This plant is mainly found in the Khasi hills of Assam. The leaf of this plant develops in the form of a pot or a vase, which has a cover of the leaf on its mouth. A type of nectar (sweet liquid) comes out from this urn, which attracts insects to it. Insects descend inside the pit in the greed of eating it. There is digestive fluid at the bottom of the urn, insects slip into the urn and die by drowning in that liquid. After that, they are decomposed and the nutrients come out in the liquid. After this the leaf absorbs them.
