Marigold Flower Plants : How to Grow Cutting and Seeds

How to Grow Marigold flower plants from seeds?

For marigold flowers to grow from seeds, you must first collect their seeds. Now it comes to how to collect the marigold seeds? This is a very simple task. To collect marigold seeds, you must first pluck off the flowers of your plant that have completely dried. If you do not have a marigold plant in your house, then no problem, you can bring such a marigold flower from anywhere.

Which has grown up completely. After this, dry that flower and remove the leaves above it. After this, you have to remove the seeds from inside it and dry them in the sun. After collecting the marigold seeds, you have to take a tray to grow these seeds. Or you can plant these seeds in any small bed. If you want, you can also plant it in a pot. For this, first of all, you have to make a layer of sand in the pot. You can also use sand which comes in handy while building a house. After this, you have to add the normal soil to the garden.

If you want, you can also mix old dung manure in the normal soil. After preparing the soil, put it in the pot. And after that, you have to make a drain about two inches deep in the pot with the help of any wood. After this, you put marigold seeds in these drains. You have to keep one thing in mind while growing the seeds. It is not necessary that the seeds of all the marigolds will come heavily, so always put more quantity of seeds.

After putting the seeds in the pot, you have to put a layer again of normal soil. It should not be too many pearls. You just have to put enough soil in it, so that all your seeds are covered and moisture remains in them. After planting the seeds, you have to sprinkle Palani on them.

You do not have to pour water into the pot by making a torrent. After applying water to the pot, you have to keep it in such a place. Where there is no direct sunlight. If you want, you can also keep this pot under a big tree. You have to maintain a little moisture inside the pot until the seeds are frozen.

Your seeds will start to germinate in about a week. After the plant emerges from the seeds, it starts flowering after about 45 days. When your plants start growing, they should be transplanted into a different pot. You can also plant these plants in your garden.

How to plant marigold plant from cuttings

To grow marigold flowers from cuttings, you must first make a cutting from a large plant. The best time to plant marigold cuttings is from September to October. You can cut a cutting of about five inches from any large plant. You have to cut a lot of cuttings. Because it is not necessary that the number of cuttings you have planted. All in all, some cuttings even go bad. After cutting the cutting, you keep all the cuttings in water immediately. So that their moisture remains intact.

After this, you have to fill the river sand in a flat pot. If you don’t have river sand. So you can take any sandy soil. After that, you have to give plenty of water to it. When the water dries up a bit, you can make a hole in this pot with the help of wood to plant your cutting.

After making holes in the potting soil, you have to apply rooting hormone powder to your marigold cuttings, and the holes you made in the potting soil, one by one, all the cuttings have to be planted. You have to plant as many cuttings as possible in one pot. In this way, you can grow a marigold plant from cuttings. When your plants are well rooted, you can plant them in separate pots.

Some special things to grow marigold plant quickly

  • Whenever you plant a marigold plant in your home or garden, before planting it, it should be seen that it should be a high-quality plant. On which there are already good flowers.
  • Whenever you plant your plant in the ground with a pot, then after digging the ground, you must put two handfuls of cow dung in it. After that, you planted the plant. Whenever a new plant is planted, give it plenty of water.
  • After planting a new plant, no liquid or spray should be done in it for about twenty days. This can damage your plant. After twenty days, if you want, you can add NPK manure mixed with mustard skin in it, that too in a very small amount, at a distance of about seven inches from the stem of the plant.
  • After adding manure, you fill it with water again. In the same way, you have to put this compost in the pot as well. You have to add a little more quantity to the pot, and put it on the sides. If your pot is large, you can add more compost to it.
  • You can always cut dried flowers from your plant with a new blade or scissors. If you cut it with your fingernail, it can cause bacteria on your hands to enter the plant.
  • You can spray organic liquid once a month, which will protect your plants from all kit mites. You can get this liquid from any nursery.
