Introduction / परिचय

Portulaca or ten bajiya is a plant with colorful flowers, which spreads like grass on the ground. This easy-to-grow plant does not require much care or water and can tolerate harsh sunlight. Portulaca is also known as 10 bajiya flowers or naubajia flower, nobchi grass, gul duphari, clock flower in Hindi. Portulaca is also known in English as the 9 o'clock or 10 o'clock flower, Sun Rose, or Moss Rose.

The botanical name of Portulaca is Portulaca Grandiflora. Its flowers bloom every day with the morning sun and start closing after sunset. It is believed that planting a Nobchi flower plant in the house brings wealth and prosperity and increases money. Portulaca flowers are available in many colors like red, orange, cream, purple, white, yellow, pink, dark purple, etc.

Portulaca plant is known by the name 'Nobachi'. Portulaca grandiflora is a succulent flowering plant in the family Portulacaceae, native to Argentina, southern Brazil, and Uruguay, and often cultivated in gardens. It is known by many names, including Nobachi plant, rose moss, eleven o'clock, moss rose, tenbage, Mexican rose, moss rose, sun rose, rock rose, and moss-rose marmalade. It is also seen in South Asia and is widespread in most cities with old 18th- and 19th-century architecture in the Balkans.

Portulaca Grow By Seeds

If you are sowing Portulaca Seeds, then keep these things in mind. There is no need to press the seeds very deeply. Make the ground crumbly by digging 1-2 inches, then spread the seeds. Now move your hands on the soil in such a way that the seeds get mixed a little in the soil.

Its seeds also require sunlight to germinate, so they are not pressed inside. After that sprinkle water. Plants will start forming in 10 to 14 days. In the meantime, sprinkle water whenever the soil feels dry. There is no need to saturate with a lot of water.

If you are planting a portulaca plant in the bed, then plant it at an interval of 6-7 inches. Portulaca flowers also attract butterflies and bees and make your garden pleasant.
